Professional Experience
Ms. Haussmann is the director of planning and development in the firm. Previously, she was the principal planner for Drenner Stuart Wolff Metcalfe von Kreisler, L.L.P. Prior to that, she served as a Planning and Development Manager in a law firm for several years, following her tenure with the City of Austin Development Review and Inspection Department, and the City of San Marcos Planning and Development Services Department.
Ms. Haussmann has worked in the zoning and planning area of real estate development since her graduation from Texas State University.
Details of Practice
Municipal Approvals. Ms. Haussmann represents owners and developers in the entitlement process, including development planning, annexation, zoning, analysis of applicable regulations, and environmental issues. She has extensive experience in evaluating and obtaining entitlements for projects in the City of Austin, and San Antonio as well as many other municipalities in Texas. She has worked on all types of real estate projects from residential, commercial and industrial developments to complex planned unit developments. Specifically, she is directly responsible for the zoning, subdivision, site development permit and variance request processes for property owners and developers. To that extent, she works with environmental interest groups, neighborhood associations, city staff, city councils, and boards and commissions throughout the development process.
