Talley J. Williams is an associate with the firm. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Williams practiced real estate law with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, L.L.P.
Details of Practice
General. Ms. Williams’ practice includes representing owners and developers in all types of real estate transactions, including the acquisition, disposition, financing, development, management and leasing of shopping centers, mixed-use projects, single family residential projects, multi-family projects, office buildings and unimproved land. In the past, Ms. Williams has represented both owners and operators in real estate transactions involving the purchase, sale, financing, licensing and management of long-term care and assisted living facilities.
Municipal Approvals. Ms. Williams’ practice also includes assisting owner/developer clients obtain necessary municipal approvals or "entitlements" for their projects. In order to do so, she has an expertise in the municipal and county ordinances, as well as state and federal law, impacting property rights generally and, in particular, the protection of entitlements. She has experience in evaluating and obtaining entitlements for projects in the City of Austin, as well as other Central Texas cities.
