Professional Experience
Mr. Drenner is a partner in the firm. Prior to that he served as a partner for over  5 years with Drenner Stuart Wolff Metcalfe von Kreisler, L.L.P. and for 8 years with Drenner & Stuart, L.L.P. In addition, he spent 13 years with Jenkens & Gilchrist, P.C. - 5 years in the Dallas office of Jenkens & Gilchrist, P.C. Mr. Drenner helped open the Austin office of Jenkens & Gilchrist, P.C. in 1984, and served as Managing Shareholder of the Austin office of Jenkens & Gilchrist, P.C. for 3 years.

Mr. Drenner has worked as a real estate attorney throughout his legal career.

Details of Practice
General.
Mr. Drenner has represented real property owners and developers in all aspects of their business, including site acquisition, partnership and corporate formation, development planning, municipal approvals, pre-construction, construction and permanent financing, negotiations and contractual arrangements with professionals and consultants (i.e., architects, engineers, contractors, etc.), leasing, sales, workouts and environmental problems. He has worked on all types of real estate projects - residential development, master planned communities, office buildings, industrial projects, apartments, condominiums, hotels, retail shopping centers and a variety of mixed use projects.

Municipal Approvals. Mr. Drenner spends the majority of his time helping owner/developer clients obtain necessary municipal approvals or "entitlements" for their projects. In order to do so, he has an expertise in the municipal and county ordinances, as well as state and federal law, impacting property rights generally and, in particular, the protection of entitlements. He has extensive experience in evaluating and obtaining entitlements for projects in the City of Austin, as well as many other municipalities in Texas.
