Ms. Swearingen is a senior counsel with the firm. Prior to that she served as senior counsel and an associate with Akin Gump in San Antonio, Texas for 11 years. She had previously spent 4 years in the finance section of Butler & Binion in Houston and Dallas and 3 years in the Texas General Land Office.

Details of Practice
Ms. Swearingen’s practice includes the representation of purchasers, sellers, borrowers, developers, landlords and tenants in a variety of real estate transactions including the acquisition, financing, leasing and development of office buildings, mixed-use projects, retail projects, industrial projects, apartments and un-improved land. Ms. Swearingen has also represented private and public mortgage lenders in the negotiation and documentation of various financing transactions.
